Conference is dedicated to scientific and practical analysis of teacher training and development, professional activities’ experience, changes and perspectives in Lithuania and abroad as well as dissemination of interdisciplinary research in the context of postmodern society’s challenges.

 

International conference will provide an opportunity for researchers and specialists of various spheres to share theoretical knowledge, research results and educational practice with colleagues and academic community.

CONFERENCE PROBLEM ISSUES

Pedagogues’ education and professional development. Trying to strengthen the prestige of teacher’s profession, the relevance of scientific discussions about pedagogues’ education experience, changes and perspectives is highlighted. New challenges for pedagogues suppose the need for constant learning, leadership and competence development. It is important to analyse the expression of pedagogues’ professional growth and factors that promote their well-being. Under rapid conditions of society’s changes, it is relevant to discuss the tendencies of pedagogues’ education that allow to create education process based on provisions of interdisciplinary teaching and learning, to stimulate cooperation and co-creation of its participants, to apply innovative education strategies, to create universal design learning environment.

Challenges of implementation of inclusive education to teachers’ and educational support specialists’ education. Action Plan for the Development of Inclusion in Education 2021–2024 sets the goal to remove physical, emotional, informational, social barriers and to ensure quality education for each child by studying together with their peers at the nearest educational institution, by providing the necessary support that meets their educational needs. With the increase of pupils’ diversity and implementing the aims of assurance of high-quality education to all learners it is important to analyse what competences teachers and help specialists need in order to be confident in themselves in the context of inclusive education, and take responsibility  for education of all children and would be able to manage children’s behaviour, to organise education process, to cooperate, to provide personalised help and pursue success and meaningful participation of every learner in education process.

Competences of pedagogues’ educators and their development. Professionalism of teachers’ educators is considered as the most important factor of assurance of quality of teachers’ community, therefore, it is important to analyse values of teachers’ educators, methods of working with students, evaluation of achievements. It is useful to share a good practice on research-based studies; to discuss how personalisation and differentiation of the content of study programmes are ensured, how students’ age, life experience, social, cultural or linguistic environment or disability are referred to. Therefore, in order to evaluate students’ competences and foresee in which spheres they should improve, teachers’ educators must have modern pedagogical competences and pursue personal development.
